Meet Carrie, Founder of Cedar Paws Trail Co.
Cedar Paws Trail Co. was founded in 2026 by Carrie Fyfe, based out of Nottingham, NH.
Carrie is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a special focus on animal behavior and cognition. She has always had a strong passion for animal behavior and husbandry and after many years as an avid equestrian, instructor and trainer, she began her career in animal welfare as an equine and farm animal specialist in 2017 at the New Hampshire SPCA. It was during this time on the NHSPCA management team, that Carrie further developed her knowledge of welfare policy and advocacy and began working with dogs, cats, pigs, goats and other species in a training and enrichment capacity.
Carrie went on to get her certification in veterinary technology and worked as both an ambulatory technician and a veterinary practice manager. She is canine CPCR and First Aid certified.
Carrie and her husband Conor are avid outdoors folk! They have successfully hiked the NH 48 4,000 footers as well as the Vermont 5, 4,000 footers and spend much of their time kayaking, camping, fishing and exploring New England.

Whether it's a quick drop-in visit, a familiar neighborhood walk, or a trail hike through the New Hampshire woods, we believe every outing is an opportunity for mental enrichment — not just exercise.
We're committed to providing safe, reliable, and attentive care that meets each dog where they are, from the homebody who loves a steady routine to the adventurous spirit craving new trails to explore. By prioritizing enrichment alongside exercise, we help dogs stay happier, healthier, and more balanced — one walk, one hike, one adventure at a time.
The Cedar Paws Inspiration
The principles that guide Cedar Paws Trail Co. were inspired by the lives and legacies of three very special adventure pups- Carrie and Conor’s dogs Finn (the chocolate lab), Sapphie (rescued border collie) and Fergus (rescued pit mix). Together, this “golden trio” explored the incredible beauty of the White Mountains, frolicked on NH’s winter beaches and spent their twilight years enjoying the sights and smells of Carrie’s garden.
For Carrie and Conor, experiencing quiet, beautiful outdoor places through the eyes of these three dogs was such a gift. It changed the way they perceived canine mental enrichment and inspired a lasting commitment to ensuring that each and every dog under the care of Cedar Paws Trail Co. has the opportunity to explore the natural world the way Finn, Sapphie and Fergus did.
Although the last of the golden trio and the leader of the pack, Finn, passed away in May of 2026- all three dogs remain an ongoing source of inspiration. The lab you see on the Cedar Paws logo is none other than Finn himself!
